Fingerprinting at affiliate networks…almost…

Recently at work, I have been redesigning the signup form and process for our network, so I decided to go join all that I can…here is an interesting story.

I have had affiliate networks call & email me to verify I actually exist before allowing me into their network but I have yet to have someone send me a 13 question form to fill out. LinkConnector has the need to know almost all aspects of my marketing initiatives, including what % of my revenue comes from email marketing, ppc, and if I currently work with other affiliate networks so they can “best match your site with our merchant campaigns”. Worse part is they send it in the body of an email so I have to copy/paste and make a mess out of my responses (how about a link to an online form). All before they allow me to join.

Darn, was hoping to actually use some of their offers.

Optimize every component of your affiliate program, from signup process, link distribution, communication and payments, make it EASY to do business with you!

UPDATE

Linkconnector made a great effort after reading my post. John called me immediately to 1) apologize for my troubles getting signed up and 2) to help me through the process, find the datafeeds and merchants that best fit my needs. Great job John, thanks for your followup and I hope to do business with LinkConnector soon!
